Background
The US company Crownpeak acquires the Dortmund-based software company e-Spirit. With the purchase of e-Spirit, Crownpeak is pursuing the goal of further expanding the potential of FirstSpirit and developing it for the international market. Crownpeak also gains market access in the EMEA region. This opens up new perspectives and opportunities for both sides.
The acquisition combines Crownpeak's SaaS-based (Software-as-a-Service) web content management system (CMS) and other best-of-breed offerings with e-Spirit's unique selling points, including content-driven commerce experiences and artificial intelligence (AI)-based personalization.
Statement from Nico Rehmann
"The merger of Crownpeak and e-Spirit creates a new global player in the DXP environment that certainly knows how to leverage its combined strengths well."
