asioso designs and develops the website www.baycode.bayern.de with a focus on accessibility

asioso launches the website of BayCode, an initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs in collaboration with the ReDI School of Digital Integration. The aim of the program and the website is to get young people aged 11 to 18 throughout Bavaria interested in digital topics in workshops and hackathons and to prepare them for a digital future.

Challenge

A new website was to be created for the initiative in order to appeal to the young target group. The focus here was on the mobile application of the website and, in particular, on accessibility. 

Solution

The target group was analyzed in joint workshops and a concept and design were then developed for these target groups. The project was implemented with the help of WordPress, as it ensured that the website could be made available quickly. The site was optimized in terms of security and accessibility.

BayCode is an initiative of the Bavarian Minister of State for Digital Affairs Judith Gerlach and the ReDI School of Integration. The BayCode project aims to prepare and inspire young people between the ages of 11 and 18 throughout Bavaria for digital topics in so-called “hackathons”. Together with schools, companies and volunteer experts, the program promotes digital participation and equal opportunities. The program focuses in particular on young people who have little or no access to digital education.
